Right click, Open With > OtherĪnd then you’re gonna search for the program “TextEdit” (click Applications to make sure your mac just searches for apps) and click OPENīam. Now you’re gonna open this mpv.conf file with TextEdit (or any other text editing program you like). Download that and drag it into this ^^^^^^ folder (mpv) that just popped up. So after you install mpv, go to mpv > Preferences I made mine in my “Movies” folder and titled it ”Screenshots” Select the 0.29.0 version because later versions on macs have a glitch where there are duplicate screenshots.įirst, you want to create a new folder that you’ll want mpv to save its screenshots in. But once you set this up, you’re done! You’ll never have to worry about tweaking the settings ever again and the program is so efficient for making screencaps so I feel it’s worth it.įirst download it here.
